Orange 'Monkey Holoboxes'
The folks over at Poke asked us to help them create a virtual concert tour, using Pepper's Ghost technology and 3D effects to produce a unique 'Live' performance and draw in the crowds.
Filming studio performances by big names Pixie Lott, N Dubz and Tinchy Stryder was the first step in this process, before carefully manipulating the footage to match the 'stage' onto which they were being projected, adding some CGI wizardry to create an eye-popping show.
Each performance lasted 45 minutes, and included eight tracks, and some promotional material for Orange. The show was toured around major shopping centres and venues around the UK, and attracted huge audiences of hysterical fans who loved the lifelike representation and the stellar virtual pyrotechnics.
All in all 74,000 people showed up, and after the tour was over, the Monkey tariff had seen in-store sales increase by 34%.
